To catch you all up on the week...
1. Norah had her first big traumatic fall, but is thankfully okay. She was walking (well, doing her little hop/run) to the bathtub and she slipped and hit her face/chin on the outside of the tub. OUCH! She let out a big cry right away and I couldn't even look at her at first. I was too nervous about what I'd see, so Jamie came rushing in to calm both of us down. When I did finally take a look, she was bleeding on her chin and inside her mouth. After we got her calmed down we were able to stop the bleeding in her mouth and everything looked okay in there as far as we could see. I was a little more concerned about her chin. Although it looked like just a cut, I wanted to be sure that she didn't need any stitches, so we took her to the after hrs. clinic for children (so wonderful!) where they cleaned it out and applied some skin glue. I was very relieved to hear that she was okay other than this minor injury. I know that accidents happen, but it's never fun to see your child in pain.
2. Norah now says Kaylee, our dog's name and is constantly following her around the house as she tries to give her all of her bones. She also loves to give Spencer and Kaylee hugs. So far she is learning to be very gentle (for the most part!) with the animals.
3. It's teething time in our house once again! Which usually means a few very looooong nights. This time has been particularly rough because little Miss Norah is getting her first molars. All four of them at once! NOT FUN FOR ANYONE! We have had a very clingy, whiney little girl on our hands but today was definitely a better day than the past few have been. Hey, everyone has their bad days, right?
4. Norah is now climbing up onto the sofas by herself and does a pretty good job of getting down too. She is very into climbing lately, so I'm going to have to find some type of indoor play area for her to climb to her heart's content during these winter months.
5. She continues to love her music class, which we have signed up for a second time. She loves to pat her hands on her lap when we sing some of the songs in class and she also loves to dance and play with the instruments. I'm amazed at how much she has picked up from this class already! Class has been so much fun for the both of us!
