Here's what's new with Norah and Nolan these days:
Norah has recently entered the "All I want to wear are summer dresses every day" phase which isn't the easiest thing to deal with since it's still winter and there's still snow on the ground. I guess it's really not so bad since I can at least get her to dress in clothes that are more appropriate for the weather when we she goes to school or we're going somewhere for the day. But if we're hanging at home, she's in a short sleeve or sleeveless dress.
And once she has on her beautiful dresses, she loves to dance. She dances to her favorite Tinkerbell songs, dances along with her new dance game for the Wii, and dances along to the music of some of her favorite t.v. shows. She even has us set up a "stage" for her so she can perform for us. Note to self: I must find Norah a dance class asap!
Norah continues to enjoy her brother very much and is a great big sis! She loves to read him stories and show him his toys. And he's starting to recognizes her and stares at her when she's near him. It's very cute.
Nolan is starting to develop his own little personality. It's so much fun to see them doing things for the first time. As long as he's not hungry, tired or needs his diaper changed, he's usually smiling away at just about everything. He's a very happy little guy. He's getting stronger and can now hold his head and chest off the ground during his tummy time. And he's so active that when he's laying on his back he can move himself around so that after awhile he's laying in a different direction.
Mommy and Daddy are thrilled to report this next bit of news: Nolan is now, for the most part, sleeping through the night! He typically has his last feeding around 9 and will sleep most nights until 4, which has been so nice. This morning it was 5:15, which was a treat! I think he's starting to get the hang of this sleeping thing.
Nolan has also discovered his hands now. He is constantly staring at them or shoving them in his mouth and chomping on them. He's also been drooling a lot. So this morning I felt his bottom gums and attempted to take a look in his mouth, which can always be challenging. I swear the boy is teething already, if that's possible. We'll just have to wait and see if anything pops up out of those gums anytime soon.
I'm afraid that going to have to be all the news I can report at the moment. I'm currently sitting here finishing this post with just one hand typing while the other is holding a baby, which is proving to be quite a difficult task. And it's just about time for nap (hopefully a rest for mommy, too!) Hope to post some updated pics soon!
