I feel so grown up...I finally have my very own flower beds where I can plant all kinds of beautiful plants and flowers. Problem is I have so many I don't even know where to begin! And then there's that one other tiny issue... I've pretty much killed any plant or flower I've ever had in my life. I'm so not a natural gardener, but am very willing to learn. So with Jamie's help and a productive trip to a garden center today, I am slowly learning the basics of flower gardens. We're taking it step by step and have only done a small area in the yard, but so far, so good!
Some before pics...

And here's an after of the one bed that we worked on today...
It's not much yet, but there's still a lot of growing to do...I'll update the pics once they grow in more. It feels so great to actually make some progress in the yard!
And after her nap, Norah enjoyed hanging out with us while we finished up the yard work.
After awhile she got tired of hanging out...
Getting ready to make a run for it...
A surprisingly good shot during the chase...
Then she decided to draw with her sidewalk chalk...
Norah was very hard at work writing her "letters"...if you listen closely to the video you can hear her naming some of the letters.
